Why LAC+USC: Big size program, able to be flexible with scheduling. My co-fellows are not only my co-workers but also my beloved family away from home. I also wanted to stay in Los Angeles and continue with my multicultural experience.

Fun Fact: I speak fluent Spanish but look Chinese which throws a lot of people off (never judge a book by its cover!)

Why LAC+USC: I was looking for a fellowship program that would provide me with a variety of training experiences (tertiary referral center <CHLA>, delivery center and county environmental <LAC>, and community NICU <PIH Good Samaritan>). I wanted a training experience that showed me the zebra pathologies and bread and butter premies. I wanted to see the crazy during training to prepare myself to be an attending after fellowship. LA location was an added plus!
